Betel nuts are from the areca tree, a feathery palm that grows to approximately five feet in height. It is found in tropical India, Bangladesh, Japan, Sri Lanka, south China, the East Indies, the Philippines, and parts of Africa. The tropical palm trees bear fruit all year.

The artist/designer, Vickie Jo Scott, is inspired by natural gemstones and the colors of nature. Her studies and many decades as a fine artist help her create unique jewelry designs, which include primarily 14 K gold-filled or 0.925 sterling silver, adding to the quality of the pieces.
