then melts copper and brass on various places of the cross,
heating them up after they cool to make a rainbow of colors.
They are coated with a varnish to protect and give them
a nice finish.

This cross was individually made in Ethiopia from a silver
alloy and can stand on their own without bases. The designs
on the back sides are similar to those on the front but
usually with fewer incised lines.
